I finally got to use my aloe vera plant.

I want you to think about the reasons we use aloe vera on our skin. After being in the sun we often use aloe vera gel to moisturise as it reduces inflammation & hydrates.

By drinking aloe vera it does exactly that too except in the inside of our bodies. It soothes & can help heal our bellies from inflammation whilst also packed with antioxidants, ideal for a healthy liver, & can do wonders for the skin.

This is why I have decided to share with you my own aloe vera smoothie recipe with you! 


250ml of a plant based milk

1 medium aloe vera leaf filleted (1/2 cup)

1/2 avocado

1/2 fresh mango or 1/2 cup of frozen mango pieces

1 TBSP of ground hempseed

1 tsp of pumpkin seeds & sunflower seeds

Large handful of spinach

1-2 large pitted dates or 1 tsp of organic honey (this is too add sweetness)


Cut the fillet of aloe into sections & cut down the sides of each section.

In the middle, where it’s fleshy, cut the section in half lengthwise, open it up and scoop the gel out with a spoon.

Place the gel into the blender with all of the other ingredients.

Blend until smooth & creamy!
